There is a wonderful spot not too far away from Puerto Plata, in a village of Damajaqua with 27 waterfalls,
open for public exploration (for a small fee). Apart from looking you can actually swim in the river and
even jump or slide from some of the waterfalls. Here are several videos of Naomi, Artem and I diving into
